It's only the slightest of ironies that the new ultra-alt and therefore ultra-modern porn label helmed by Eon McKai looks to be a festival of nostalgia; after Vivid Alt debuted with Winkytiki's '50s-and-'60s-flavored girl-gang opus ReBelle Rousers, longtime Eros Zine fave Dave Naz stepped into the director's chair and shot a tasty little number called Skater Girl Fever.

Here, the oh-so-alt nostalgia is for another era entirely -- the days of the early '80s -- as the box puts it, when "The only things that mattered were your stickered deck, those asphalt-stained wheels, and of course....your Skater Girl!" Rather than going for the free-form anything-goes punk chicks of McKai's Kill Girl Kill series for VCA or the highly-stylized and satirical format of Rousers, Naz has created a fantasy world of skater chicks, and it made me nostalgic for those long-ago days of skinned knees and chipped front teeth.

The disk is framed with Nadia Styles and Christie Lee sitting on a couch shooting the shit and flirting between scenes. It's a kind of foreplay for the final scene, when Nadia and Christie finally get down and do it.
Skater Girl Fever then starts out strong, with ultrahot Leah Luv dolled up as a skate punk and committing unspeakable acts with endowed stud Nat Turnher. DVD extras include "Behind the Fever" (a little over four minutes of behind-the-scenes footage), a photo gallery, a Skater Girl trailer and one for ReBelle Rousers. Not a lot of extras, maybe, but Fever itself is almost three solid hours of porn, so there's plenty here to satisfy. In fact, the combination of gorgeous chicks, plenty of oral (and especially plenty -- plenty!! -- of rimming), and Naz's edgy counterculture vision makes Skater Girl Fever an exceptional release, one that'll satisfy you whether or not you think skinned knees are the ultimate badge of coolness. It's great porn, and it kicks ass.
