With fetish erotica superstar Anastasia Pierce, it's not just her mesmerizing beauty that captivates you. Sure, it's a given that Pierce's smoky eyes, irresistible lips, and to-die-for cheekbones can leave a victim gasping, seeking desperately after his lost innocence before she even lifts a stiletto heel or supple flogger. But what keeps me fascinated by this Swiss-born actress and model is the enthusiasm with which she assaults each new kink, seeking fresh fetishes in every possible nook and cranny of the human libido. Whichever of her more than 200 movies you watch, it's obvious with every frame that Anastasia Pierce relishes her role as professional kinkster, loving the sins of the flesh more than anyone could ever love any one sinner.
After admiring her performances in a number of fetish films (where she both tops and bottoms), I caught up with the charming and gracious Ms. Pierce at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, where she took a moment to chat with me.
Eros Zine: How did you get into doing fetish erotica?
Anastasia Pierce: I always had a very kinky side. I grew up in a very conservative place, and got a lot of my childhood friends involved in my strange games [laughs]. Later on, I would involve my boyfriends; later, when I moved here, I realized what I was really into. It started with personal exploration, sex exploration, and then eventually I decided to do it as a hobby, and then it became a full-time passion, and now that's what I do for a living. And I love it!
Eros Zine: What are your personal fetishes?
Anastasia Pierce: [laughs] I have a lot of fetishes. I have more fetishes than I don't have fetishes!
Eros Zine: Do you have a hard time fitting all of them into your professional work?
Anastasia Pierce: I try to pick a few for each project, and just concentrate on those. [laughs] I've done movies where there's food involved, messy stuff, I've done movies where there's foot fetish and girdles and latex, and toe worship. Some movies are more strictly BDSM, tying someone up, spanking them -- lots of hair pulling! [laughs]
A lot of my fans also like heavy rubber, because I have done a lot of heavy rubber movies in Europe. So I'm doing a lot of those movies too, with hoods, and encasement, and that type of stuff.
Eros Zine: You mentioned you'd done rubber videos in the European market; you're definitely known for elaborate fetish wear and rubber gear. is that a particular turn-on of yours?
Anastasia Pierce: Absolutely! First, before anything, I love the look of rubber, and the feel of rubber. I've found out there are so many rubber toys -- vac beds, that type of thing -- to play with. My love of rubber has really grown as I have explored it.
Eros Zine: What are the main projects you're working on now?
Anastasia Pierce: I run two websites: AnastasiaPierce.com and MyBondageVideos.com. I'm now producing my own line of videos; they're all lesbian hardcore BDSM. Most fetish movies that I've done in the past are bondage movies only had a little bit of sex -- it was very, very soft. I am more of a hard person. [smiles] I do crossover to do adult once in a while, so I wanted to sort of merge both sides and create my own vision.
Eros Zine: For a long time the standard in the adult industry was that BDSM videos didn't show sex, to the point of not showing any kind of penetration. When did that start to change?
Anastasia Pierce: People are pushing the limits, more and more. It's starting to change slowly. I'm still very careful, because I want to be able to sell my product. I do have the bondage and penetration at separate times in the video, in the case of DVD. I'm not doing that on the web; for the web, I show both bondage and penetration at the same time -- but I know for distribution I have to separate them.
Eros Zine: In a lot of mainstream movies that incorporate BDSM ideas, you'll see an actress tied up, and then someone will come along, and untie her, and then have sex with her.
Anastasia Pierce: Yes; but I also do a lot of story-driven movies, so it works pretty well. I'm able to make the scenes make sense instead of being left thinking "Why is she now untying this woman? I work it into the story, so it's part of it."
Eros Zine: Do you find there are aspects of BDSM that are hard to communicate on video?
Anastasia Pierce: Because I like the things to go smoothly and be as realistic as possible, I usually work usually with people I have worked with before, so I know there's chemistry. I know their body language, I know their limits; we talk about it ahead of time. So once I get going whether I'm submissive or dominant in a movie, I can just get lost, enjoy, and really live it as an experience.
Eros Zine: Your movies are all female-on-female?
Anastasia Pierce: Yes. I do play with men a lot in my private life, but I like to keep it private, because I don't want to share it with everyone. Women are great chameleons -- you can do so many things with them. It turns me on, visually. When I watch something, I like to see two women attracted to each other.
Eros Zine: What are the next projects you'll be working on?
Anastasia Pierce: I am developing my VOD site, MyBondageVideos.com. I have the feature length videos up, and I'm adding a whole clips section, and a whole image download section. I also have some new titles coming out; the next one is called Sinful Training, and after that I have one called Help Wanted. You'll have to come and see for yourself!
Eros Zine: Do you have any fetishes that you haven't videotaped yet, that you're excited about putting in a movie?
Anastasia Pierce: I'm very much into public sex and mirrors, and those are two things that are really hard to do on camera. I don't feel like getting arrested just to do public sex! [laughs] And as for mirrors -- with lights and the like, it's a hard thing to work out on camera.

Anastasia Pierce: [laughs] Why not? Though I might have to go to Europe to shoot outdoors!
