In 2002, Eros Zine was founded by Byron Mayo as a place to showcase the work of sex-positive writers, photographers, filmmakers, videographers, artists and performers -- to bring you news, reviews, events, profiles, politics, and commentary. Byron's vision was to offer Eros in its most unfettered form -- all the beauty and brilliance pouring out of the worldwide erotic community. More than five years and 3,000 articles later, we're suspending publication as of this new issue on February 19, 2008. The site will stay live but no new issues will be published after this date. The Eros Guide, our parent company, has decided to focus on their core business as the world leaders in the field of erotic entertainer advertising, and is seeking a new owner for the Zine. Until that happens, the Zine will remain on hiatus. If you need to contact someone regarding the Zine, its content, or are interested in more information regarding partnership with the Zine, please use this email address: contact@eros-zine.com. For a little more than two and a half years, I've had the great privilege to be the Managing Editor of Eros Zine, and to work with some of the most amazing creative talents today. As you browse our archives, you'll see that there's a world of creativity in the erotic community. Whether your favorite flavor is found at a swing club in Long Island, a fetish ball in London, the rapturous visions of a Paris fetish photographer or an innovative erotic DVD release from an indie crew in San Francisco, the world brims over with erotic possibilities. We at Eros Zine hope that over the last five years we've helped you to find the courage and conviction, the passion and power, the hunger and heart and heroism to bring your fantasies to life. Eros Zine editor Thomas Roche has accepted a position at alternative sexuality erotica network Kink.com. He also teaches a 60-hour training in human sexuality at San Francisco Sex Information and blogs about sex, politics and cryptozoology at thomasroche.com.
